Royal Mail have announced that all franking machines must be upgraded to MailMark
Franking machine users must upgrade their machines to Mailmark before 1 January 2023. Royal Mail will no longer accept any post that has been franked with a standard machine.
From 1 January 2023, Royal Mail will no longer accept mail from standard franking machines. This is known as decertification. It means that standard franking machine users, who plan to continue sending franked mail next year, will need to switch to a Mailmark compatible franking machine.
Royal Mail has written to all UK franking machine customers who use a Standard franking machine advising them that Royal Mail will be removing the option to send franked mail using their Standard franking machine.
